  • Working Together

By working closely together, between us, all your child’s individual needs will be met. Feel free to bring in any paintings, pictures etc they have done at home they can also be put in your child’s file under the Parents Corner section. Lets take the time to talk and pass on important information, let us know when they achieve something new at home as we will encourage and praise all new milestones. We also work closely with local schools, this help with a child’s transition from our setting to full or part time school.

  • Our Staff

Throughout the setting we have excellent staff to children ratios, with all of staff holding a childcare qualification or working towards a one. All staff are CRB checked and hold a paediatric first aid and basis food hygiene certificate as standard. Staff are expected to attend regular training courses throughout the year to update and further their knowledge.

  • Security

Security is paramount we operate a two door security system, once through the first door you are in the reception area. To collect or drop off your child please press the relevant bell which is clearly marked on the wall. We also operate a password system. Should anyone try to collect your child without a password or by prior arrangement you will be contacted immediately. The setting is monitored by CCTV.

  • Settling In

It is important that all children feel happy, safe and secure whilst in our care. To ensure this we recommend at least two complimentary settling in visits prior to your child starting. These are arranged on a flexible basis to best suit you.

  • Outdoor

Outside we have a secure area for all our children to play, this is divided up to ensure safe play for all age groups. Outside we also have a gardening area to encourage children to learn how things grow, what makes them grow and how to take care of different growing, living things. All children are encouraged to play outside as regular as possible. We have installed a 12m square match winner surface so the children are guaranteed to be able to play out all year round.

  • Healthy Eating

For the third year running we have been awarded our Gold Healthy Eating Award by Kirklees Council, therefore all main meals and snack are based on a healthy and nutritional diet, with a variety of salad, vegetables and fruit available at all meal times. A choice of filtered water and fresh milk is always available throughout the day. Special dietary needs are catered for.
